The minister urged not to do politics on the Rohingya issue
Bangladesh Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridge Minister Obaidul Quader urged the BNP not to do politics on the Rohingya issue.
In response to BNP's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's statement on Rohingya, he said, "You are going to meet the politics of dirty politics with the Rohingyas. Let me tell you and your team, refrain from playing dirty politics by issuing issues with Rohingyas.
Obaidul Quader said this while answering a question from journalists after inspecting the work of the bridge under construction of Chhatiantali-Malibagan road in West Kusumpur area of Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj on Friday afternoon.
Referring to Sheikh Hasina's government being praised from all walks of life, the Awami League General Secretary said, the way Rohingya people are coming from Myanmar is very human.
He said, women and children are passing through the Naf river. Although we can limit our capabilities, they have to behave in a humane manner. The government is providing food, medicines etc. The Bangladesh government is working to bring the UN's attention.
Sirajdikhan Upazila Parishad Chairman Mohiuddin Ahmed along with the concerned Road Divisional engineers and officers and local leaders were present.
