International community saying genocide of Rakhine violence: Foreign Minister
The international community, in Myanmar's Rakhine state, is mass killing a large number of people. Diplomats from different countries gave a similar opinion at a briefing with Foreign Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali on Sunday afternoon. After the briefing, the Foreign Minister told reporters this information.
Foreign Minister briefly briefed the two groups. Diplomats from the United States, European Union, Turkish diplomats and representatives from various UN organizations were present in the first group and diplomats of the OIC member countries in the second group.
After the briefing, Foreign Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali responded by answering a number of questions. Asked whether Bangladesh thinks of the massacre of Myanmar as genocide as the international community, Mahmud Ali said, "We are also saying like the international community." However, how many people died in Rakhine violence, he did not mention any number.
But before the briefing with journalists, Vatican ambassador to Bangladesh, Archbishop George Kocheri, told reporters that Foreign Minister Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali said that at least three thousand people were killed in the violence on Rohingya by quoting sources in the briefing.
Mahmud Ali told reporters, "The international community praised Bangladesh for providing shelter to a large number of Rohingyas. Apart from this, everyone has stressed the implementation of the Commission's recommendation. "
The Foreign Minister said, "With the new arrival of three lakh Rohingya, seven lakh Rohingyas have taken refuge in Bangladesh right now. Bangladesh is insisting on providing asylum and humanitarian assistance primarily for these new people from Myanmar.
How does the international community want to help Bangladesh? When asked about this, the Foreign Minister said, "The international community has shown interest in cooperation in both political and humanitarian issues. Several countries have already announced additional funds. This fund will be adjusted through the United Nations. '
Foreign Ministry sources said that Foreign Minister will brief the diplomats of Asian countries on Monday afternoon to brief them.
