Before the election schedule was announced, the Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish has demanded 15-point demand including the election and army deployment under temporary government by breaking the parliament.
In the dialogue organized with the Election Commission (EC), Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis demanded these demands. The dialogue was held on Tuesday at 11am at the election building in Agargaon, capital Dhaka.
A 13-member delegation led by its Secretary General Moulana Mahfuzul Haq participated in the dialogue. In the dialogue with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda, the other four commissioners, Acting Secretary of the Election Commission Helaluddin Ahmed was also present.
After the dialogue, the Secretary General Maulana Mahfuzul Haque summoned the journalists for their demands and told them that the Ministry of Interior, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been brought under the Election Commission since the beginning of the election, keeping troops deployed for the next 72 hours in the election, preventing the use of black-colored and muscular energy. At the end of the dialogue, Acting Secretary of the journal Helaluddin Ahmed said, "We have heard their demands. Political issues have to be resolved politically. However, the Election Commission can take initiative in this regard. But after all the dialogue, the EC will take a decision on this matter. After this we can provide details.
Responding to a question, he said, "We can inform the EC government about the issues that came up in the dialogue through a request letter." The dialogue will be concluded by October, the EC Secretary said. The EC had planned to sit in dialogue with the Islami Oikya Jote (Minar symbol) at 3pm yesterday. But because the party president is ill, he is now able to come to the dialogue. For this reason, the petition has been filed for later.
