BIWTA launch terminal has been submerged due to river erosion in the upazila Faridpur union factory. Last Friday the terminal was submerged.
It is known that in the first two years, the launching in Faridpur was given to the passengers, but due to the breakdown the ghat was submerged in the river. In the absence of the premises passengers were suffering. Pirechalai roads, houses, shops, jute, trees and trees and the terminals are submerged in the river. BIWTA has been informed to rescue the sinking launches.
Locals alterator Jamal Sardar said, they did not give any importance to the BIWTA authorities when they informed the mobile phone that the terminal was submerged. A few days ago, the terminal was hit by two launches at the launch. The locals are tied with the tree in the middle of the pore. Faridpur UP Chairman Alhaj SM Shafiqur Rahman said the communication system was good because the launch terminal was good. Wasting of passengers in the area increased due to erosion.
Upazila executive officer Zainul Abedin has been informed about the river erosion and the terminal drowning. He informed the BIWL authorities in Barisal.
