Nearly 50 foreign diplomats and representatives of various agencies working in Dhaka to visit Rohingyas fleeing Myanmar have visited Cox's Bazar on Wednesday.
There they heard the stories of the refugees coming home from the refugee camp, and they talked to old people and talked to the old people.
A diplomat present there said that they will consult with their respective governments about the return of Rohingya to their own country.
Diplomats later also visited the adjacent areas.
The Bangladesh Foreign Ministry has taken a large team of foreign diplomats into Cox's Bazar as part of its effort to build a pressure on Myanmar to bring the Rohingya back home.
They were taken by a special flight in the morning in Cox's Bazar.
US, UK, European Union, Russia, China, India, Saudi Arabia ambassadors were involved in this tour.
Foreign diplomats, including foreign ministers, state ministers and secretaries of Bangladesh, along with senior officials, went on road after going to Kutupalong refugee camp.
This tour of diplomats created livelihood among local residents and numerous refugees in camps.
Diplomats have never tried to walk in the car and talk to refugees on foot.
Then the diplomats talked to the waiting journalists.
While speaking to the diplomats, the Netherlands envoy Leonid Margarita Kuala Liena praised the government of Bangladesh for providing shelter to Rohingyas with warm heart.
"Of course it is now more disastrous than it is, many more people, it is a human crisis in doubt." He said, "I must praise the government of Bangladesh so much so that people can take it warmly."
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam said they believe that this visit of foreign diplomats will strengthen Bangladesh's efforts to take Bangladesh Rohingas back home.
He said, "There are the heads of all the embassies, they are seeing the loss of humanity in the behavior of Myanmar. They will be able to realize and convey the message to their country that Rohingyas will have to return."
Earlier, the Foreign Ministry informed about the Rohingya situation in Dhaka by foreign diplomats and representatives of international organizations in two phases.
In both of those meetings, a call was made to build pressure on the Myanmar government to take back the Rohingyaas from Bangladesh.
